Lutheran Men

A big THANK YOU to everyone involved with our recent 2020 LMM annual turkey stew fundraiser. We quickly sold out of the roughly 440 quarts of stew!

The Lutheran Men in Mission unit of Summer Memorial is blessed to have a strong, active group of men and boys who gather to nourish both the physical body and the spiritual soul. We regularly meet for about an hour on the third Sunday of each month in the fellowship hall. Meetings begin at 8:00 AM with a hearty breakfast meal followed by a short devotional/Bible study and closing with any business items that need to be discussed with the group.

Although we gather under the framework of Lutheran Men in Mission, we often have fellows of various denominations join us. In addition, there is no age limitation; all ages are welcome. Some of our kitchen helpers are even on the younger side (school age)  of our group. What we do ask is that you have a desire to enjoy a good Southern breakfast while getting to know your brothers in Christ a little better.

It is important that we follow Jesus’ lead to reach out, share and support our fellow brothers in LMM. This is done by being active and attending joint Heartland Conference LMM events, participating in SCLMM activities on the state level such as our Annual LMM Gathering and OYTL retreats, and recognizing our National Lutheran Men in Mission organization.  At each level, we try to provide both financial resources and physical representation whenever possible.
