The purpose of the Christian Education committee is, “to organize and oversee the conduct and promotion of the schools and Christian educational activities within the congregation.”
How is it that we learn about the basics of the Bible, faith, and the church? That happens through Christian Education. This isn’t just limited to the education of children and youth, but also adults. Christian Education is important in all ages and stages of life.
In Matthew 28, Jesus calls us to make disciples. In baptism, the congregation promises to walk with individuals through their lives of faith. The good news of God’s love is the most precious thing the church has to share with family, friends, loved ones, and neighbors. This is done through relationships. Learning about God and growing in our faith is a lifelong pursuit. Christian Education helps create opportunities for this to happen.
